BLENDS WITH BENEFITS
Avocado - helps the body produce glutathione, which is necessary for liver detoxification. In addition, the healthy fat found in avocado helps boost dopamine levels and increase endorphins, the feel-good hormone. (What can’t this nutrient-dense superfood do?!)
Ginger -promotes improved digestion, helps absorption and assimilation of essential nutrients in the body, reduces gas and abdominal bloating, has anti-inflammatory properties, and can ease nausea. Ginger is also uplifting, promotes a healthy immune system, and has aphrodisiac properties! (Not to mention many more super qualities)...
Lemon - alkaline-forming, rich in vitamin C and flavonoids, liver-cleansing, waste-eliminating and has antibacterial properties. Lemons also boost metabolism, healthy skin, strengthen the immune system, and have anti-inflammatory properties - goodbye aches and pains! (and oh-so-much more, lemons for life!)
Spinach - chocked-full of vitamins (A, C, E, K, B6), minerals (manganese, calcium, selenium, riboflavin, iron, niacin and zinc) and phytonutrients, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, and dietary fiber. Spinach improves gastrointestinal health, (again) has anti-inflammatory properties and an abundance of iron. (Pop-eye was right after all!)
Turmeric - We deem this ‘sunshine in a bottle!’ This bright yellow spice is one of the best sources of beta-carotene, which the body either converts into vitamin A or uses as a powerful antioxidant (out, damned free radicals! Out we say!). It's also believed to provide relief to arthritis sufferers due to its anti-inflammatory and natural pain-killing properties. Turmeric also cleanses the blood, is an effective detoxifier, and may also help to regulate blood sugar. Not to mention, it's a natural remedy for cold and canker sores. (Let the sunshine in!)
Chia Seeds - loaded in omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, minerals and protein, these little super seeds are dietary must. Helping to lower cholesterol and blood pressure, regulate blood sugar, and keep your body hydrated and energized. (We would say that all they don’t do is take out the trash, but (ahem) now that we mention it…)
Mango - often called the "king of fruits", are a nutritional powerhouse of yummy, fruity goodness. Research has shown that the high levels of antioxidants and abundant enzymes in mango can protect against cancer, lower cholesterol, improve eyesight, alkalize the body, normalize insulin levels in the blood, improve sex (um, yes, please!), aid in digestion and elimination, and boost your immune system. Plus, they're damn good. Are we right or are we right?)
Mint - promotes healthy digestion, respiratory health, lower blood pressure, and is a valued IBS tonic. Mint also treats nausea, boosts mood, improved memory and promotes overall good health! Adding a little mint to your blend, tea or salad, will have you feeling your best in no time!
