Ash, Ash, Baby.

Come on over to the dark side and meet Black Magic: Our insanely addictive Activated Charcoal based zesty lemon detox and purification elixir.

Activated Charcoal What?

Activated Charcoal is created when charcoal is heated to expand it’s surface area. The large porous surface area attracts and binds poisons, toxins and gases through a process called adsorption*

[*Adsorption is the process by which liquid or gaseous molecules are concentrated on a solid surface. This is different from absorption, where molecules are taken up by a liquid or gas]

Activated Charcoal—Why?

Activated Charcoal is one of the most badass absorptive and adsorptive agents known, able to extract and neutralize thousands of times it’s own weight in gases, heavy metals, toxins, poisons and other chemicals. It is a great agent for detox, cleansing and assisting the healing process of the body, preventing/helping hangovers, helping with intestinal issues/food poisoning/gases, and (for us), we feel like it makes us feel sharp and focused, and really helps when we feel sluggish.

Yum Factor?

In a word? Amazing. The taste of Activated Charcoal itself is totally neutral and we use the finest kind, derived from coconut shells so there will be no graininess at all texturally.

We mix with fresh pressed lemon juice, oodles of purifying lemon zest, sweetened with grade b maple syrup, and a dash of Himalayan salt just to bring it all together.

It’s delicious, zesty, refreshing, alkalizing, a definite conversation starter, and the sexiest looking tall drink-of-anything we’ve seen in quite some time.

So jump on in, the water's fine...

[Notes: The properties of charcoal are such that you really want to avoid to have important medication or supplementation within 2 hours of drinking. It basically attracts, hoovers out and eliminates, and you don’t want it sucking out stuff you need.

Not-So-Sexy-Note: Drinking on a regular basis may cause constipation for some—so just keep umm..track of that!]
