Deep in new product development mode here at Luli HQ, our superfood obsession levels have gone a little off the chart (and that may be an understatement!)  So this #FoodCrushFriday is dedicated to the amazing healing benefits of Ashwagandha (Ash-wa-ghan-da.)

Ashwagandha – aka Indian ginseng or winter cherry – is one of the most important herbs in Ayurvedic medicine. A powerful adaptogen, Ashwagandha helps modulate the body’s response to both internal and external stressors. Its’ restorative, rejuvenative, and calming properties enhance immunity, combat fatigue, alleviate anxiety and depression, and support an overall sense of well-being. And if that weren’t enough, this Indian herb also has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and neuroprotective powers.

In the spirit of spring and new beginnings, we decided to give our old friend Chia Life a little makeover. Say hello to...

½ cup frozen raspberries

1 heaped tsp Maca

1 heaped tsp Ashwagandha

2 thumbs fresh Turmeric root (or powder if you can’t find it fresh)

Pinch black pepper to activate the Turmeric

Blend until beautiful!
